Coyote

I found this fella wandering through the snow in the San Juan Mountains near Lake City, Colorado.

This coyote doesn't seem to be worried about me. He has places to go and food to find.

When ya got it, flaunt it. He's happy to pose for me.

I was idling along a mountain road looking for moose. I stopped to get a better look to my left. I just happened to glance right and there he was. This coyote was about 15' from me, standing just off the road, looking at me. By the time I could swing my camera around, he was on the move.

I don't know if he's waiting on a friend, a bus, or Spring. Maybe he's waiting for dinner to appear.
